RESEARCH INTERESTS: The biochemistry of human platelet function is the major area of focus of our laboratory research. I am interested in the role of receptors in initiating platelet response and how these receptor proteins participate in platelet activation mechanisms, platelet aggregation and post receptor occupancy events. Our studies are designed to define events important in hemostasis and thrombosis and also to understand the pathophysiology of acquired or inherited platelet function defects.
